North Central Elementary is proud to receive an “A” from the State of Michigan on our School Report Card. Excellent scores on our MEAP tests, along with high marks on our self-assessment on school indicators earned us our “A”. Details on our score can be found at www.mde/gov
North Central Elementary has received a SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL grant to encourage students to become more active physicaly by walking or biking to school if they live within a mile from school. The grant will also pay for improvements such as new sidewalks along the major routes students will use.
During the 2008-09 school year, we put in a new Anti-Bullying Program. Students learned that bullying and harassment is wrong and will not be tolerated. Many students became ADVOCATES by stopping bullies from picking on others. We also received a $1,000 grant from WalMart to continue learning about ways to deal with bullies.
